Coach Bill (Bill Duby) is an accomplished baseball executive, program founder, business leader, and coach with more than 40 years of experience spanning athletics, business, and organizational leadership. As Founder of Golden State Grind, Director of Operations for Duby Baseball, Regional Director for U.S. Baseball Academy, and former California State Director for Stars and Stripes Baseball, Duby has held influential leadership positions overseeing baseball operations, player development, coaching programs, and organizational growth. He also serves as Varsity Head Baseball Coach at Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, California. His extensive background in executive management, board service, business development, and athletic leadership reflects a longstanding commitment to innovation, organizational excellence, and creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes.

A Mt. Diablo High School Hall of Fame inductee, Duby was a standout four-sport varsity athlete, earning All-League and All-East Bay football honors and competing and placing in the North Coast Section Track and Field Championships. He continued his football career at Diablo Valley College before attending San Francisco State University. Drawing on his competitive background and decades of leadership experience, Duby has established a player-development philosophy built on fundamentals, accountability, discipline, baseball IQ, character, and measurable progress. Guided by his principle of “Development Over Hype,” he is dedicated to building high-performing programs, developing future leaders, and preparing young athletes for success in baseball and life.
