FROM THE DIAMOND
TO DEVELOPMENT.

Darrell Mays Jr. built his baseball foundation at Berkeley High School before taking his game to Los Medanos College. Across two junior college seasons, he earned two-time All-Conference honors and led California in stolen bases during his sophomore season. His versatility on the field included experience in the infield, outfield, and on the mound.

Speed was a weapon in his playing days. Now, it’s a craft he teaches. Darrell brings that same edge to the athletes he coaches, blending baserunning instincts, explosive speed development, and efficient movement with technical instruction in hitting and defense.

His coaching background includes private baseball instruction and athletic performance training, with a focus on speed, baserunning, agility, and mobility. He previously served as Lead Mobility Trainer at StretchLab, has trained athletes privately, and currently serves as Head Performance Coach at 925 Performance & Recovery.

Darrell’s approach connects real playing experience with sports science, strength and conditioning, and movement quality. His goal is simple: help athletes move better, compete faster, and build tools that translate when the game speeds up.
