NEW JERSEY.
SAME STANDARD.

Evan Merz built his game at Freedom High School before taking it to Diablo Valley College (2023–24), Sonoma State University (2025), and the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo (2026). An accomplished infielder, he brought a consistent presence at the plate and extensive collegiate playing experience to his baseball journey.

Different programs. Same production. Merz earned All-Conference honors in his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons—a run of recognition that speaks to his consistency, adaptability, and commitment to competing at a high level.

A career .335 hitter, Evan’s success was built on years of dedication to his craft. Through new environments and new challenges, his approach stayed grounded in the work: keep refining, make the adjustment, and show up ready to compete.
